About this role
As a Network Security Engineer and member of the Network Operations team within Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) group, you will:
- Utilize deep technical knowledge to drive the delivery of scalable & secure network resources
- Be security focused and ensure standard configurations are deployed in the infrastructure. Call out any anomalies and spearhead efforts to remediate
- Work closely with regional and global teams to provide ongoing support for the global network infrastructure (on-prem and cloud)
- Participate in design and implementation of secure firewall architectures that enable effective network segmentation
- Maintenance and optimization of the global network infrastructure including Firewalls, F5 load balancer, Routers/Switches, Proxies, etc.
- Assist in solving issues with the security infrastructure & platform related to network connectivity
- Work alongside our cloud engineers to help manage and support scalable automated CI/CD pipelines
- Assist in developing solutions and implement changes as necessary
- Perform network configuration changes in accordance with change management process
- Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery, creating preventative measures to deploy in the enterprise
- Provide support for network-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures with automation
- Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network configuration, network diagrams and processes
- Evaluate vendor-provided incident reports and prepare internal incident summaries for senior management as needed
- Participate in vulnerability management process. Identify and implement solution to remediate TVAS issues
- Completion of ServiceNow tickets within the SLA
- Participate in on-call rotation, shift work and regular weekend work
What You'll Need:
- 10+ years of experience provisioning, deploying security appliances from vendors such as Cisco, Checkpoint firewalls with in-depth operations & troubleshooting expertise across on-prem and cloud
- Experience in managing and supporting Zscaler Cloud proxies and F5 load-balancers
- Strong knowledge of network routing protocols, security controls, and firewall configurations
- Experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
- Proficiency in scripting and developing network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, or Terraform is highly desirable
- Experience with DevOps and tools like Azure DevOps
- Experience of Forescout solutions for Network Access Control (NAC) is preferred
- Flexible and able to shift rapidly with an ever-changing environment
- Must possess ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and escalate issues effectively
- Outstanding written, verbal communication, as well as strong customer service skills
- Experience of working in a highly regulated environment
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives in the execution of daily operations
- Relevant technical certification such as Zscaler Certified Security Professional (ZCSP), CCNP, Azure and AWS or equivalent preferred
