About this role
Job Purpose
We are an outstanding group of engineers that are passionate about all aspects of enterprise software development. You are an ambitious software engineer who can independently develop and deploy high-scale end-to-end applications and can contribute to a tight-knit team. You also have a good understanding of how the web works. Members of our team are encouraged to bring ideas to help shape our technical solutions forward and to communicate those ideas to senior leaders. Beyond engineering, you will have a strong desire to learn the business context of your projects, so you can quickly contribute to solving problems and driving decisions to engage, learn, drive, and deliver change on a global scale!
Key Responsibilities
Build, deploy, and maintain fast and scalable web front-end and business processes that drive the investment management process for our clients.
Partner closely with API teams, product management teams, and external client relationship management teams to improve the product offering and drive-up user engagement and adoption.
Beyond engineering, a successful candidate will always strive to learn the business context of their projects to quickly play a leading role in driving decisions.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile SDLC.
Proficiency with a broad spectrum of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a global team environment and able to work independently with minimal direction when appropriate.
Experience in the financial industry or knowledge of financial products/markets is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in React 18+ Development.
Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and Typescript.
Experience with Frontend state management technologies like Recoil, Redux, Jotai, Zustand, etc.
Experience with React Testing Library is a plus.
Experience with standard slate of front-end web technologies, including CSS3, HTML5, Chrome Debugger, yarn or npm.
Experience with a JVM-based language like Java 8+ or equivalent OOP is a plus.
Experience with monorepo is a plus.
Understanding of typical Java-based frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot, etc. is a plus.
Some experience in developing in microservices architecture and/or writing Restful APIs is a plus.
Experience with GIT for code management and CI/CD platform like Azure DevOps is a plus.
