Job Title: Associate, Trader

Job Duties: Actively trade and optimize BlackRock's US and International Equity securities lending book for clients. Responsible for revenue generation and active performance management. Actively build and implement trading strategies based on analysis of companies, sectors, and market variables. Deliver market leading returns in a risk aware and controlled manner. Develop, lead and build on internal & financing market relationships. Build and lead partnerships with internal teams, including our global trading team to help drive efficiencies to improve revenue, performance and mitigate risks. Responsible for day-to-day administrative issues in support of trading activities and liaise with trading operations. Work with internal e-Trading and Trading Research groups to innovate systems, trading analytics, and coordinate implementation. Manage risk with strong attention to even the smallest details.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computational and Applied Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; and 24 months experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 24 months of experience involving the following: 1. Equity markets and securities lending fundamentals: assessing the dynamics of securities borrowing and lending to enhance portfolio returns, as well as analyzing market sentiment to optimize trade execution strategies for competitive rates and appropriate lending sizes. 2. Equity collateral management, financing rates, and the ability to interpret equity market trends impacting U.S. and international equity securities. 3. Financing counterparty relationship management: negotiating terms, articulating financing supply, and fostering mutual understanding with counterparties. 4. Structuring agreements to manage risk. 5. Using SQL querying databases, retrieving, analyzing, and maintaining high-integrity data related to trading performance and market metrics. 6. Python for streamlining data processing workflows, conducting statistical analysis, and generating insights to support trading decisions. 7. VBA to automate Excel workflows, such as pricing model updates and report generation for improving operational efficiency. 8. Fixed income instruments (such as bonds and repos) to support financing costs management and understand broader market impacts on equity lending. 9. Coordination with cash management team for optimal cash collateral management and funding strategies. 10. Evaluating financing rates, managing liquidity needs, and effectively integrating cash and collateral flows into trading operations, supporting efficient resource allocation an 11. Financial regulations affecting securities lending and capital markets, including Basel III and the Dodd-Frank Act. d enhanced liquidity management across the securities lending program.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$140,200.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
