About Client Experience

Our mission within the Client Experience (CX) organization is to make it easier for clients to do business with BlackRock, making service so simple it becomes a source of alpha. We are organized across 4 key pillars:

1. Client Experience Delivery, client-facing teams orchestrating all aspects of service delivery, and onboarding teams bringing new business onto our platform,

2.Wealth, differentiated capability for both Whole Portfolio and Wealth clients & products, respectively,

3.Client Experience Operations, core client operations teams driving reporting, billing, and onboarding due diligence across the globe, and

4.Client Experience Transformation, accelerating progress towards our CX mission via research and competitive insights, analytics, marketing, business and change management

Team Overview

The Dynamics Solution Center team’s mission is to create best-in-class experiences for our business users by providing a reliable and effective service in developing and supporting the use of the MS Dynamics platform. We are focused on evolving, developing, and implementing MS Dynamics features through effective product strategy and platform engineering of the application as well as global user support.

The Role

We are looking for a Vice-President QA to ensure the quality and reliability of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for BlackRock’s Sales and Service teams, and their partner teams. You will work as part of a dynamic and vertically integrated global team helping to provide the Dynamics Solution Center’s effective services.

Primary responsibilities

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules.

  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure the quality of the application

  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues, and work with developers to resolve them

Automation and Tools:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Tosca, Selenium, JUnit, or similar

  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence

  • Plan and orchestrate the work to create a cohesive team culture

  • Participate in team’s Scrum ceremonies and ensure team hygiene (like ADO boards, meeting attendance)

  • Ensure the team’s success measured by on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards

  • Mentor and coach team members to grow and gain expertise

  • Lead the team in architectural design decisions and motivate the team to perform at their best

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Work closely with product team, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure test coverage

  • Document test plans, test cases, and test results

  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improving the quality and performance of the application

Cultural Ambassador:

  • Serve as a vocal champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles within the team and broader organization

  • Promote awareness and membership in DEI initiatives, ensuring the team is engaged and informed about DEI efforts

  • Actively participate in DEI events and programming, providing mentorship to mid-level and junior team members

Local Leadership:

  • Act as a local leader, promoting the company’s mission and values within the office and local community

  • Ensure the team is aware of and collaborates on local office initiatives and opportunities

  • Represent the team in joint meetings and collaborate with other local leaders to ensure consistent and effective leadership

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a QA role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position

  • Technical skills covering test automation tools and experience in developing automated test scripts

  • Working knowledge of testing and deploying solutions in Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform

  • Solid understanding of D365 Sales and Customer Services applications

  • Understanding or experience in testing code or quality assuring code quality in JavaScript, C#, or .NET, a benefit

  • Flawless written and verbal communication and ability to gain buy-in from a non-technical audience at varying degrees of seniority

  • Positive attitude and resilience, with strong problem-solving skills

  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
