Job Purpose/Background
Join our AI Platform Engineering team as part of Aladdin Engineering and be at the forefront of financial technology innovation. Aladdin Engineering is the team that designs, builds, and runs Aladdin. Within Aladdin Engineering, there are multiple engineering teams focused on building the different products and platform services for Aladdin. As part of the AI Platform Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the AI ecosystem across the firm and significantly influencing the Aladdin application ecosystem.
We are looking for highly motivated and determined engineers with hands-on technical experience in the design and development of React-based interactive web solutions, to set and drive a clear AI Software Strategy, delivering cohesive AI experiences across the firm. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and performant React-basedapplications.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Develop reusable components, services, and modules with a deep understanding of Typescript, HTML, CSS, andJavaScript.
Independently deliver major projects and contribute to technical designs.
Work closely with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following standard methodologies.
Perform code reviews and ensure consistency with coding standards.
Identify and fix performance bottlenecks in Reactapplications.
Project planning with Agile methodologies, including user stories, sprints, backlog management.
Flexibility and willingness to learn and work on various programming languages as per project needs.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience (4+ years) building UI components using latest in web technologies (e.g. React, Vue.js) and languages (e.g. TypeScript)
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles
Experience building reactive UIs with modern React patterns and hooks.
Experience with Redux for state management
Use of APIs and understanding of HTTP and REST architecture.
Knowledge of testing tools (e.g. jest, cypress)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with software version control systems like Git or Subversion.
Good knowledge of data science tools (e.gPyTorch, Jax, Numpy) and programming languages such as Python.
Experience working in Agile development teams with excellent collaboration skills
Grit in the face of technical obstacles.
Desirable
Familiarity with MLOps and ML model lifecycle pipelines.
Interest in ML and generative AI
