The Aladdin Product Ownership team collaborates with developers, researchers, and other team members to innovate and craft new capabilities for the investment lifecycle. As a Product Owner, you will have a positive impact on developing the product vision and leading day to day execution of the roadmap. 

About this role: 

  • This specific role sits within the private markets (eFront) and whole portfolio team that is responsible for an end-to-end platform for LPs, GPs and Asset Servicers to handle private market portfolios. The platform streamlines operations, gives investors access to accurate and standardized data, and optimizes communication between market participants. 

  • As a trusted product expert, the Product Owner for eFrontcross-platform tools, will take ownership of our existing solutions and contribute to advise our product strategy. 

  • Connect market trends and client needs with product engineering.

  • Strong candidates will bring their hands on experience in the Fin tech and Alternatives investment tech space.  

  • There are many strategic areas that need exploration, evaluation, and prioritization, while in parallel ensuring that the tactical needs for continuing to deliver the product are met. 

About you: 

  • Passionate about building technical solutions in partnership with engineering teams 

  • A self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems that deepen our understanding of end users 

  • Curious to learn new skills and willing to embrace work outside of your comfort zone 

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and using your entrepreneurial spirit to create new solutions

  • A teammate who is motivated by the fast pace of the work environment 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with product managers to define the product strategy and vision. 

  • Be a subject matter expert of personas, workflows, and tools within your product domain 

  • Influence teams across Aladdin to drive forward strategic product decisions 

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business, collaborator and client needs 

  • Capture, evaluate & define detailed product requirements and product specifications 

  • Defining, in collaboration with the engineering team and UI/UX team, the features requirements, use cases, user stories, and user journey maps necessary to deliver a complete product/feature to market

  • Own the development backlog: quarterly planning, backlog grooming, sprint planning and delivery demos

  • Execute against core principles of standard Product Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) including maintenance of product roadmaps, requirements, specifications, and release notes. 

Skills / Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated ability in product management / business analysis / client service that includes building and launching technology in a B2B or B2C market 

  • Strong and encouraging teammate with the ability to lead and influence 

  • Strong competence in analysing and prioritizing tasks with the ability to complete promptly 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely 

  • Proficiency working with a diverse set of backgrounds, including technical developers, business leaders, and target end users. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to make data driven decisions and deliver results quickly 

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or equivalent practical experience

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
