Role Description

PMG Tech Platform is responsible for delivering the Power of the Platform: central capabilities to accelerate tech and research solutions, drive innovation, and build a tech community.

Within PMG Tech, the Data Strategy & Solutions (DS&S) team is accelerating the future of investment research with alternative data, insights, and emerging technology. We are seeking a Frontend Developer who is passionate about building modern, user-friendly web applications that empower investment teams.

In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to develop scalable frontend applications that accelerate investment research processes using the latest technologies. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow within a fast-paced, innovative environment while working on impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize large web applications with modern UI frameworks such as React.js and Next.js

  • Collaborate with senior engineers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to build dynamic, data-driven frontend solutions

  • Contribute to code architecture, ensuring applications are scalable, maintainable, and performant

  • Work with and understand large codebases, enhancing existing applications and integrating new features

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend trends and technologies to enhance UI/UX development

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high quality standards

  • Translate UI/UX principles and design best practices into visually appealing web pages

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of frontend development experience in a professional setting

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and Typescript

  • Strong foundation in frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and/or Vite

  • Experience working with and navigating large codebases

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities

  • Experience with modern UI component or libraries (e.g. Radix UI, Shadcn, React Flow, or similar) is a plus

  • Familiarity with backend development (APIs, Python Flask or FastAPI, databases, cloud technologies) is a plus

  • Familiarity with data analysis (Python, Pandas, Numpy) is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred



For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$120,000.00 - USD$148,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
