About this role

Role and Impact:

As a member of the Multi-Sector Portfolio Management Team, you will take on a diverse range of portfolio management responsibilities for Index funds, including ETFs. Your role will involve driving the development and implementation of new tools, technology, and reporting to enhance the portfolio management process, automation, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with Government, MBS, EM, and Credit portfolio managers, leveraging top-tier portfolio management technology and a supportive team to help BlackRock achieve its mission of providing superior investment products to clients. Portfolio managers are expected to work with client-facing teams, execution traders, ETF Capital Markets, technology, compliance, and risk management teams to share knowledge and improve the investment ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the construction and management of multi-sector portfolios with daily flows including order raising, managing guideline constraints, corporate actions, compliance resolution, cash management and hedging.
  • Enhance and streamline portfolio management processes within the Multi-Sector team and across the broader Index Fixed Income platform.
  • Monitor operating risk and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.
  • Support PM desks in management of all fixed income funds, including continued investment process refinement and implementation / consistency of best practices.
  • Produce daily, periodic, and ad hoc reporting required by the investment team.
  • Ownership of strategic project and ad hoc analysis related to our platform.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA/BS required; progress towards CFA a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Approximately 1-3 years of relevant experience and a strong desire to learn required.
  • Markets: Understanding of fixed income markets and risk in general, and the ability to apply insights to portfolio management.
  • Quantitative skills: Strong bond math, probability theory, and applied portfolio theory required. Portfolio optimization skills is a plus.
  • Excel: Skilled at creating efficient and user-friendly excel worksheets.
  • Programming: Basic proficiency of Python is preferred
  • Database Proficiency: Skilled at writing efficient SQL queries to interact with databases.
  • Bloomberg Terminal: Bloomberg proficiency including extracting data both programmatically and through excel is a plus.
  • Aladdin: Experience with Aladdin tools and datasets is a plus.



For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$140,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
