BlackRock's Manager Research team is looking for a Vice President to join our team in Amsterdam.

BlackRock Manager Research (“BMR”) is a global research investment team responsible for  selecting top-tier investment strategies across public and private asset classes for client portfolios. BMR generates alpha through disciplined and rigorous manager research, selection and monitoring, with dedicated investment professionals across three specialized pillars: Investment Due Diligence (“IDD”), Operational Due Diligence (“ODD”) and Quantitative Due Diligence (“QDD”). Our team meticulously analyzes data and strategies to ensure our clients’ investments thrive.

Your Role:

As a Vice President on our Investment Due Diligence team in Amsterdam, you will play an important role in identifying top investment managers, analyzing their strategies, and monitor their performance to help our clients achieve their investment goals.  This role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for fixed income public markets, a strong drive for success and extensive experience across various fixed income asset classes. What You'll Do:

• Identify, assess, and oversee a range of fixed income strategies
• Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the asset classes and strategies under review
• Lead investment due diligence process, including onsite visits, detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the presentation of investment recommendations
• Coordinate diligence effort across various internal functional teams
• Identify and communicate emerging risks or potential opportunities associated with investments
• Communicate domain expertise to sophisticated clients and BlackRock portfolio managers
• Mentor junior team members in the methods of investment analysis and foster their professional growth
• Initiate and build relationships with investment teams and domain experts across BlackRock to facilitate knowledge transfer and aid decision-making

What you Offer:

• 5-8 years’ previous relevant experience preferred, but not required
• Outstanding academic credentials
• CFA certification or desire to complete the program
• The ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organization and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
• Exhibits a strong sense of emotional ownership towards clients and stakeholders by maintaining high levels of responsiveness and responsibility.
• Capacity to keep the strategic vision in sight while paying attention to the details of day-to-day operations
• Exceptional communication skills, with the right level of confidence and assertiveness, to present and promote ideas at all levels of the organization
• Intellectual curiosity with an ability to be a self-starter
• Experience incorporating ESG considerations to source, diligence, and monitor investments preferred

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
