Client Data Analytics Associate

Are you someone who enjoys connecting underlying data to business results & opportunity? We are looking for innovators like you to join our team as a Client Data Analytics Associate.

The Client Data Analytics Associate is part of the Aladdin Client Business COO team, focused on innovating the business intelligence for Aladdin’s clients and colleagues. This role will partner with a diverse mix of internal technology teams, functional business partners, and client businesses to develop impactful metrics and analytics to drive strategic business decisions. You will also focus on building pipeline processes to ingest, clean, and transform our client data, and monitor ongoing data quality. You should have a desire to learn the business context to bridge the gap between business objectives and client data. This role is an opportunity to take the initiative in an environment where data pipelines, processes, and metrics are being built from the ground up to support this transformation!

You should be comfortable working across a variety of technology capabilities, including databases, business intelligence tools, and the underlying data infrastructure. Our team loves simplifying and solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a unified “one source of truth” view (“analytics layer”) that will provide consistent and easily accessible data
  • Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques
  • Work with business partners to understand their data and reporting needs and make recommendations on reporting and visualization solutions to accomplish their goals
  • Develop reports and data visualizations to present insights in the most effective way to enable decision-making
  • Complete ad hoc requests for research, analysis, and reporting by pulling from diverse internal and external data sources, implementing the appropriate method of analysis and offering meaningful insights
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics and execute recurring analyses and reporting
  • Write, maintain and/or update queries to develop analyses in response to queries from various business groups
  • Ensure data accuracy

Qualifications:

  • We realize excellent data analysts can come from a variety of backgrounds so while we require a Bachelor’s Degree we are open to degrees outside of computer science and information systems if you are curious and have the technical skills we need!
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a data analyst or business analyst role with experience wrangling data, and writing and optimizing queries from various databases
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis
  • Ability to work in a collaborative setting and effectively communicate technical concepts to broad audience
