About this role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the ETF Portfolio Management team as an Associate, based in Taipei. The successful candidate will be part of a regionally integrated team operating across APAC and will be responsible for a broad range of portfolio management activities. This role involves managing ETFs, including day-to-day portfolio construction and management, contributing to investment research and commercial initiatives, and driving technology and process enhancements across the portfolio management platform to deliver strong investment outcomes, consistency, and scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily portfolio management activities, including liquidity management, FX management, portfolio rebalancing, corporate action analysis, primary market activities, and hedging.
- Develop and implement best-practice portfolio management processes that enhance scalability and minimize operational risk.
- Partner with operations, risk, data, and other platform teams to drive process improvements and contribute to system, investment, and trading process enhancements.
- Engage with business and ecosystem partners, including industry participants, clients, and liquidity providers.
- Collaborate with internal partners to design and launch new portfolios and implement changes to existing portfolios.
- Communicate portfolio positioning and investment strategy clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with portfolio management teams to automate workflows and enhance investment processes using Python.
- Explore and apply AI and machine learning techniques, including prompt engineering, to advance scalable analytics and streamline processes.
Key Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in portfolio management or a related role, with demonstrated knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments, portfolio construction, risk management, and performance attribution.
- Eligibility to manage multiple Taiwan-domiciled passive ETFs.
- Strong working knowledge of equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a highly global, team-oriented environment.
- Strong process orientation, with a high level of accountability and ownership in identifying and addressing business risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, or other programming languages is preferred.
- Ability to fulfill local licensing requirements.
