Role – Associate AQE
APG –QA is a globally distributed team supporting Quality Engineering initiatives for Apps on the Aladdin. The Testing team employs use of industry-leading tools to support the testing activities.
Job Purpose/Background: The Associate – Aladdin Quality Engineering (AQE) will support the coordination, execution, and ownership of quality strategy, automation, and engineering excellence across Aladdin platforms, with a strong focus on Wealth management, Asset Management workflows spanning multiple facets of Asset management.
This role is responsible for enabling and implementing automation‑first, AI‑enabled quality engineering, ensuring scalable, resilient, and audit‑ready delivery for mission‑critical financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality & Automation
Develop and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and backend layers using modern automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Execute automation-first testing practices to ensure early defect detection, faster feedback cycles, and high-quality software delivery.
Design and optimize regression test suites to improve execution reliability, reduce maintenance effort, and increase release confidence.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and quality engineers to understand requirements, identify quality risks, and ensure comprehensive validation.
Analyse test results and drive defect resolution by investigating failures, reporting issues clearly, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Test Engineering & Framework Design
Own and evolve test framework architecture, includingUI automation – Playwright (preferred), Selenium
API & backend testing – including but not limited to API’s and Messaging services.
Knowledge and exposure to nonfunctional testing like Performance, Security and Chaos testing is favorable.
Implement robust error reporting, failure analysis, and test result assurance mechanisms.
Solid understanding of one or more programming languages – TypeScript ( preferred), Java , C#, Go etc.
AI Driven Quality Engineering
Actively leverage Artificial Intelligence to enable and enhance acceleration of testing cycles – by improving test design, execution and to overall product quality.
Ability to intelligently use AI to augment the overall test automation cycle – including but not limited to optimal code generation, coverage and maintenance optimisation.
Should be able to apply AI insights and understanding for additional automation tasks like failure analysis/categorisation, root cause analysis etc.
Stay up to date withemerging AI technologies and industry trends to continuously identify opportunities for innovation within Quality Engineering.
Should possess ability and zeal to contribute to AI-first quality engineering practices, adopting and promoting tools and techniques that enhance team productivity and testing effectiveness – like Spec Engineering, Token Optimisation etc.
Required Skills / Experience:
The candidate is encouraged to possess and be able to demonstrate the following:
B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject area
4+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance in a financial services firm (e.g., Investment Banking, Asset Management), including writing manual tests (positive and negative), test automation development and execution.
Good exposure with Testing methodologies,Test plan, Test strategy, RTM and Test estimation etc. with experience in UI testing
