About Aladdin Data:
Aladdin Data team is a part of BlackRock's Aladdin platform, which is a comprehensive investment and risk management system. The team is responsible for various aspects of data management and analytics delivery for our clients and BlackRock within the Aladdin ecosystem.

About the Analytics Stewardship Team

Analytics Stewardship team brings together the functional expertise and responsibilities within the Aladdin Data organization to ensure Aladdin’s investment and risk analytics meets highest standard of quality and are delivered at scale. Analytics Stewards work along with Client Business, Product, Engineering, Operation and broader Aladdin Data teams on design, improvement, development and deployment of new and existing analytics.

We are currently hiring for a Director‑level role within the team, focused on Portfolio Analytics across Risk and Return, with strong cross‑sectional application of technology and AI combined with deep domain expertise.

This role will be responsible for leading a diverse group of specialists across multiple niche areas, driving high performance and strong execution standards. The ideal candidate will balance hands‑on individual contribution in at least one core area with thought leadership across the broader portfolio analytics ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Analytics Content Stewardship

    • Shows a technical and intuitive understanding of Aladdin analytics methodologies

    • Shows an understanding of how stakeholder teams use Aladdin tools and analytics to inform investment decisions

    • Ensures analytics documentation is current and writes clear and concise release notes

    • Resolves complex inquiries within area of focus, manages queue of in-house/client inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution

  • Manage Model Calculator Deployment to Clients

    • Understands and recommends how analytics can be applied across various investment styles

    • Understands production processes and liaises with partner teams to ensure smooth model deployments and maintenance

    • Build QC Rules and integrate it with production factory

    • Manage & maintain the standards around portfolio risk analytics also establish governance process around this

  • Manage Change Management across portfolio analytics rollout

    • Create the framework to isolate the portfolio impact due to change

    • Ensure minimal issues encountered due to change post release

    • Translate internal product notes into actionable testing criteria

    • Work with stakeholders to follow a repeatable & systematic approach for testing the change in client environments

  • Engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners across the firm

  • Stay up to date on global finance and technology trends impacting BlackRock

  • Lead the formulation of and execution of analytical solutions and thought leadership initiatives, addressing industry challenges and showcasing Aladdin capabilities and solutions

  • Keep abreast of recent trends in technology, quantitative finance, capital markets and regulations across portfolio risk, liquidity risk, returns & attribution.

  • Drive the use of technology and AI to generate scale, efficiency and innovation across above themes of responsibility

Experience:

Candidates must have a proven history of addressing challenging real-world issues in investment and risk management sectors with particular focus on portfolio risk, portfolio returns and related portfolio analytics like portfolio performance & attribution, liquidity risk etc. The individual will be required to utilize their advanced quantitative abilities to oversee complex initiatives aimed at enhancing the analytics platform.

  • 12+ years of experience in capital market, investments, or financial technology industry, managing investment, risk, and/or performance analytics from modeling, data, or services perspective 

  • Understanding of portfolio risk models and portfolio risk & return methodologies

  • Track record of working with financial markets, investment and risk analytics, and data management functions

  • Experience working as part of cross-functional initiatives, with strong communication skills and project management ability

  • Experience to utilize GenAI/LLM & technology in the space of portfolio analytics

  • Experience working within Agile project management frameworks is a plus (including tooling such as Azure DevOps)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in analytical skills and the capability to develop expertise in Aladdin’s proprietary models, encompassing equity analytics, fixed income analytics, multi-asset investment analytics, value-at-risk (VaR), and performance attribution.

  • Proven track record of solving analytical problems/scale through GenAI

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ability to navigate the analytics platform for conducting analysis and deriving solutions

  • Enthusiasm for, and comfort with, working in a high pressure and fast-paced environment with entrepreneurial and team-oriented setting

  • Strong project management skills. Ability to prioritize deliverables/enquiries when multi-tasking, structure multiple communication streams and manage workflows.

  • Ability to navigate large organizations, coordinate horizontally to deliver end-to-end solution

Qualifications:

  • Degree in finance, engineering, mathematics, quantitative or related discipline. Bachelor’s degree is required. Advance degree preferred.

  • Proficient with technical tools and exposure to GenAI and related tooling

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation is a plus.
