About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to help establish and scale aTest Data Factorywithin Aladdin Engineering. This individual will play a meaningful role in designing and implementing mechanisms to generate, manage, and refresh high-quality test data across environments. By enabling reliable, on-demand data provisioning, this role will directly improve developer efficiency, accelerate testing cycles, and ensure consistency across environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Build Test Data Mechanisms: Develop and implement automated, repeatable, and on-demand processes to generate investment data at scale across pre-production environments and diverse user groups.
Leverage Existing Platforms: Collaborate with Aladdin engineering teams to understand existing tools, frameworks, and pipelines, and extend them into robust data creation and management mechanisms.
Database Management: Establish seamless database refresh processes across environments while incorporating guardrails to protect client data and ensure compliance.
Enable Developer Efficiency: Provide reliable test data capabilities to accelerate development, integration, and validation cycles across engineering teams.
Data Strategy: Balance the needs ofdata discovery(finding relevant existing data) versusdata creation(synthetically generating test datasets).
Must Have Skills
Strong programming skills inJava with SpringORPython (OOPs concepts).
Basic understanding ofAngular/Reactfor frontend integration.
Hands-on experience withAPIs (REST, GraphQL).
Proven understanding ofDatabase concepts(MSSQL, Sybase).
Knowledge ofbuild systemsand CI/CD pipelines.
Strong grasp ofData Discovery vs. Data Creationconcepts.
Good to Have Skills
Exposure totest automation tools(e.g., Selenium).
Familiarity withNoSQL databases(Cassandra) andin-memory caching systems(Ignite).
Priortest data managementexposure.
Understanding of test frameworks and automation strategies.
Familiarity withfinancial data types– Transaction, Reference, Market.
Exposure to AI tools for data management and a general understanding of working of Gen AI, models, training, fine tuning etc.
