Team Overview
The Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of BlackRock’s index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver precise investment outcomes and cutting-edge alpha insights. MASS constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS manages over $2 trillion in assets and has a strong presence in the United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific region.

Position Summary
This role sits within MASS’ Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) business which manages over $350B in assets for institutional globally. We are looking for a strategy-oriented, analytically strong professional to join our team at the intersection of investment strategyand business development. The candidate will work directly with CIOs and senior stakeholders to shape how BlackRock articulates its OCIO capabilities to the market and wins mandates. In addition, the individual will be partnering with stakeholders on strategic initiatives to drive deeper client engagement for the outsourcing business.
The candidate should possess strong analytical, writing and comprehending skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with a wide range of partner teams and stakeholders. The successful candidate will possessstructured thinking, outstanding attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and have a passion for thinking strategically on how to position BLK’s OCIO capabilities across client segments for commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
Shape client and market strategy: Partner with CIOs and stakeholders to refine BlackRock’s OCIO value proposition across client segments (Pensions, Family offices, E&F, healthcare etc.) and drive strategic projects aimed at growing our business (e.g., benchmarking, market intelligence etc.)
Drive mandate outcomes:Contribute directly to winning new business by crafting differentiated insight-driven client packs for large institutional mandates
Own high-stakes client deliverables: Lead development of client materials (pitch decks for mandates, RFPs, RFIs, DDQs etc.), crafting differentiated, insight-driven outputstailored to client needs and aligned with firm positioning
Operate across the platform:Collaborate with investment, client business, consultant relations, and manager research teams globally to align messaging, ensure accuracy, and deliver at pace
Generate competitive insights: Analyze competitors, industry trends, and win/loss data to continuously sharpen go-to-market strategy
Build scalable infrastructure: Enhance existing content platform and knowledge management systems to improve efficiency and consistency
Experience / Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in asset management, preferably in strategy, investment consulting, or client servicing
Strong understanding of investment products (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives etc.), investment outsourcing industry and client trends
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), stakeholder management, and project management skills
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office suite and RFP / content management software
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders under tight deadlines
Flexible, responsive, and self-starting personality. Demonstrated experience working both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative, global environment
Technical skills such as AI technologies, Power BI, Tableau, Python and SQL will be a plus
Postgraduate (MBA) from a premier business school
Progress toward CFA or FRM certifications is a plus
