About this role

We are seeking a Director of Full Stack Engineering to lead delivery and technical direction for eFront Insight Core, BlackRock’s Private Markets data and analytics platform. This role is responsible for driving execution across multiple engineering teams, ensuring high quality, scalable delivery, and advancing the platform’s AI enabled capabilities in close partnership with product and business stakeholders.

As a Director, your impact will be felt across an ecosystem of related products and services, influencing architecture, delivery standards, and engineering excellence across teams supporting Insight Core.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop multiple engineering teams, guiding technical execution, delivery planning, and career growth across a diverse set of engineers.
  • Drive the design and delivery of AI-enhanced features, leveraging GenAI and ML models to improve data quality, automate workflows, and deliver predictive insights.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of SaaS product development, including production monitoring, incident resolution, and performance optimization on cloud platforms.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for major Insight Core capabilities, from design through production, including operational stability, incident management, and performance optimization.
  • Drive architectural consistency and scalability across teams, ensuring solutions align with cloud native and platform standards.
  • Partner closely with product management and business stakeholders to translate Private Markets needs into reliable, high impact technical solutions.
  • Guide the practical adoption of AI and GenAI capabilities within the platform to improve data quality, automate workflows, and enhance user experience.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices for CI/CD, automated testing, security, and reliability, with decisions impacting multiple teams and downstream consumers.
  • Serve as a trusted technical leader during complex delivery challenges, production issues, and crossteam dependencies.
  • Champion AI adoption across engineering processes, including code generation, testing automation, and intelligent data pipelines.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 15–20+ years of software engineering experience, with 8+ years leading teams or large technical initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on background in C#/.NET and React/TypeScript; Python experience preferred.
  • Proven experience delivering cloud native SaaS platforms on Azure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing delivery, technical quality, and operational stability.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production systems (hands-on or through close collaboration with data/AI teams).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence engineering, product, and business partners.
