Business Overview:
The Strategic Initiative team within Outsource Platform Services is dedicated to developing technology solutions and reengineering processes that drive scalability and innovation in the middle office outsourcing business while advancing the team's AI strategy. Acting as a strategic enabler, the team ensures alignment, optimizes scalability, and fosters innovation throughout the platform ecosystem.
Role Responsibility
- Crafting, developing, and delivering technical solutions, including AI-based models, that will help the organization scale.
- Passionate about technology, and love to tackle sophisticated problems.
- Building solutions for both BlackRock and over 20 client organizations using the Aladdin ecosystem.
- Working with leading technologies such as AI, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, and a host of other languages and open-source technologies.
- Operating in an agile environment.
- Committed to open source, and love contributing back to the community.
- Developing testable software daily, emphasizing incremental innovation.
- Operate within an environment of transparency, diversity, and forward-thinking participation at every level.
- Work closely with users, designers, developers, and product managers to translate creative builds into working prototypes.
- Understand the business you support, and collaborate with users to compose, develop & invent innovative solutions.
- Solve complex problems in an ever-changing environment, with a focus on process optimization, data, & technology.

- Operate in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and work as part of a distributed team.
Skills/Qualifications:
- A four-year degree specializing in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or similar
- 1 Year plus Experience in Python or Core Java (Spring Framework).
- Experience with object-oriented design patterns
- Experience with dev ops tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps
- Experience with Agile development concepts and related tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of the deliveries
- Ability to work with teams across geography
- Possess a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Be curious and flexible, pay keen attention to detail, use critical thinking and drive innovation
- Continually learn new technologies
