About this role
The Global Employee Relations Operations Lead is responsible for the end-to-end execution, optimization, and governance of employee termination, and offboarding processes across the organization. This role ensures that voluntary and involuntary separations are handled consistently, compliantly, and with care—balancing employee experience, business needs, and risk.
As a key partner to Employee Relations, Legal, and HR Business Partners,this role drives operational excellence, process standardization, and continuous improvement across all termination and offboarding activities globally.Due to the high-risk nature of this work, the role requires an elevated sense of discretion, confidentiality, urgency, accuracy, and sound judgement.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Process Ownership & Optimization
- Own and continuously improve global termination and offboarding processes for both voluntary and involuntary leavers.
- Lead the design of scalable, standardized workflows that ensure consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency across regions.
- Maintain clear process documentation, playbooks, and escalation paths.
Technology & Enablement
Identify and drive opportunities to maximize technology, including automation and AI, to streamline processes, and improve stakeholder and employee experience.
Drive adoption of digital solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
Own agenda of technology enhancements, including tooling for core processes, and restructuring activities.
Stakeholder Partnership & Leadership
Act as a trusted operational partner to ER, HRBPs, Legal, and HR leaders globally.
Provide guidance, education, and enablement to HR partners on termination and offboarding processes.
Demonstrated ability to proactively support stakeholders by quickly connectingdots and proposing creative solutions when needed.
Lead and mentor aglobal team of HR Operations professionals supporting exit and offboarding operations.
Termination & Offboarding Execution
Oversee the operational execution of all termination and offboarding activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to policy.
Partner effectively across teams to support involuntary separations, restructurings, and sensitive exits.
Use data and insights to inform continuous improvement and risk mitigationinitiatives, monitoring quality and capacity across all processes.
Partner effectively to mitigate risk and ensure appropriate controls, approvals, and documentation are in place.
Directly manage complex or high-risk cases as needed.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in People Operations, Employee Relations Operations, or HR Operations, in a global environment.
Experience working closely with Legal and ER teams in highly regulated environments.
Proven ability to design and scale operational processes in complex organizations.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing a global team.
Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions and improvements.
