On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock.

Over the course of the Program, participants will:

Program Structure:

The program begins with an orientation where you’ll learn about BlackRock’s principles, mission, purpose, and culture. You’ll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients.  Following orientation, you’ll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin.

Overview

Join our global team of cyber security experts, protecting our business and developing exciting capabilities on the frontline of cyber defense.  Apply your passion and knowledge of cyber security to improve the security of internal and external business workflows by supporting optimal cybersecurity control alignment and empower all employees to protect information our clients and investors entrust us with, and the systems and technology that enable our mission.

Role Description

Strong communication skills are essential, as the role requires public speaking and the ability to guide diverse audiences through complex technical discussions. Proficiency in technical writing and advanced PowerPoint design is also required. Experience delivering training instruction in both in-person and live virtual formats is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Information Security policies, standards, and procedures related to data privacy, technology use, incident response, and broader cybersecurity topics.
  • Ability to design training and exercise solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience reviewing and updating cyber response playbooks, ensuring consistency across stakeholders and accuracy of critical processes.
  • Skilled in collaborating with subject matter experts, vendors, and internal teams to ensure exercise content and assessment structure reflects current security architecture and technology stack.
  • Familiarity with modern collaboration tools such as SharePoint Online, Teams, and Webex.
  • Knowledge of current threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), with the ability to incorporate them into large-scale cyber assessment campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cyber exercises, incident response, or cyber assessments program management.
  • Proven experience managing cybersecurity exercise programs or assessment initiatives.
  • Strong background in Financial Sector, National Security, and/or Information Security environments.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Advanced PowerPoint design and editing skills for creating impactful presentations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, instructional design or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
