Job Duties: Serve as a subject matter expert for onboarding and implementing new investment accounting clients: interfacing with technology and business support teams to configure BlackRock’s enterprise software, Aladdin, for receipt via interface of custodian and investment manager data, daily analytics, controls, automation, and reporting to establish processes and best practices to achieve accounting goals and objectives. Collaborate closely with the implementation supporting groups to provide strong leadership throughout the implementation. Understand client's goals/objectives and take strong ownership to deliver on desired output. Monitor and control onboardings by actively identifying, tracking, managing, mitigating and resolving implementation issues and risks. Conduct meetings, collaborate with project team members to build consensus on complicated issues. Continuously refine process and standards, adopting best practices to ensure optimal delivery. Ensures all BlackRock cash and position data are accurate for critical processes including investment management, analytics, compliance, and regulatory. Cash and Position types include equities, fixed income, OTC derivative positions (swaps, swaptions, FXs, and synthetics) and collateral. Handles risk and exposure for BlackRock by ensuring the investment book of record is reconciled with the custodian, manager, client and prime record holders daily. Completes control reports, cash and position break resolution, inbox and dashboard monitoring, client and portfolio data maintenance, and daily subscription/redemption activity. Addresses inquiries, performs controls, resolves problems, and mitigates risks for clients and internal BlackRock partners. Prepares and reviews reconciliations between BlackRock, Asset Manager, and Custodian Bank, including researching differences and resolving them. Performs ongoing maintenance of the existing accounts to reflect client or account level changes. Assists in special projects and initiatives to improve the service offering. Evaluates process and procedures for inefficiencies and makes recommendations for improvement, while acting as a change-management agent to consistently improve the quality control environment and develop standard methodologies. Raises all material risk items and service issues on a timely basis. Coaches and mentors team members to encourage high individual performance and service standards. Align team objectives with firm strategy. Identify and support development opportunities for each team member. Encourage productive debate and manage conflict. Set expectations for performance and rewards, and effectively communicate outcomes. Create a sense of belonging for every member of the team.

Qualifications: Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Economics, or a closely-related field. 36 months of experience in a Financial Analyst, Cash and Asset Reconciliation Specialist, Operations Analyst, or related role. Requires 36 months of experience in the following skills: 1. Mechanics of reconciling cash transactions, cash balances, and positions; 2. Reconciliation exception management; 3. Data analysis; 4. Equity and fixed income securities and derivative products; 5. Reviewing, researching, and coding transactions, balances, and positions exceptions with root cause, responsibility party, and resolution commentary;6. Navigate, review, extract through custodial and broker portals; and, 7. Build and execute SQL scripts. Requires any amount of experience in the following skill: 1. Navigate and utilize Aladdin Tools.
