About this role

Overview

We are looking for a talented Human Resources professional to join our Global Benefits team.

The HR Benefits Strategy Associate is a versatile role that supports the strategic development and management of employee benefits programs and supports the Benefits team’s overall initiatives. This role is suitable for someone eager to contribute to strategic initiatives of HR Benefits, while also supporting to drive change and improvement within the function. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and ongoing evaluation of existing benefits programs and proposed plan design changes to ensure benefit plans are compliant and competitive

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to analyze plan utilization, employee feedback and industry benchmarks to inform benefit strategy

  • Assist in managing relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders

  • Prepare benefits reporting, trend analysis and presentations for internal stakeholders as needed

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the BlackRock benefits offering and benefit administrative processes to serve as a subject matter expert for  complex employee inquiries while leveraging existing resources to resolve the inquiry

  • Review, maintain, and enhance educational employee benefits content and resources on benefits portals to ensure information provided to employees is accurate

  • Support ongoing vendor management and due diligence activities ensuring internal vendor management system contains accurate and up-to-date contact information and timely completion of vendor oversight tasks

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to help develop a robust strategy to communicate benefits to employees in an engaging and innovative way  

  • Provide support to team on other ad-hoc benefits projects

Skills:

  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Detail-oriented with a high regard for confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred working within a Human Resources Benefits function demonstrating expertise in benefits strategy, design, compliance, and operations

  • Proven record of working independently and collaboratively across various functions and locations

  • A client service work ethic and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems

  • Strong interest in and knowledge of benefits and well-being leading practices  

  • Results-oriented; successfully manages multiple tasks, takes initiative to improve his/her own performance, works intensely towards extremely challenging goals and persists in the face of obstacles or setbacks while maintaining quality of work

For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$82,000.00 - USD$110,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
