Your team
Within BOS, the Alternatives Accounting and Product Controllers team is responsible for supporting BlackRock's alternatives business, a strategic growth area for the firm. Maintain ownership of day-to-day fund accounting activities and administrator oversight, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial information and reporting to Limited Partners (LPs).
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, respond to investor inquiries, support due diligence activities, and deliver customized reporting solutions that address investor and business requirements.
Maintain a robust control framework by partnering with fund service providers and internal teams, while coordinating external audits and supporting the successful preparation and delivery of annual audited financial statements.
Recalculate management fees and carried interest in accordance with fund governing documents and report associated revenue information to the Corporate Controllers team.
Drive operational efficiency and innovation through ongoing evaluation of processes, controls, and technology enhancements that improve scalability and reporting quality.
Your experience
Demonstrated experience in investment accounting, fund accounting, fund operations, public accounting (audit), or related experience, including experience reviewing the work of others.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent is a plus.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statements, management fees, and carried interest calculations.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, deliver against deadlines, and support both recurring and ad hoc initiatives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel preferred.
