About this role

The Australian Marketing team, based in Sydney, is a dynamic and collaborative group of experienced marketers dedicated to driving the growth of BlackRock’s business in Australia and New Zealand. Our team is responsible for creating and implementing local marketing initiatives that span both BlackRock and iShares’ investment capabilities, client segments, and distribution channels. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Australian Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for managing and executing marketing campaigns across the complete range of marketing disciplines, but with a focus on digital campaign activations. This role reports into the Director of Wealth Marketing.

Your role will be to develop marketing campaigns targeting financial advisers, retail investors and institutional audiences. Marketing activities will vary by segment, but will include developing campaign web pages, supporting in-person and online events (e.g. webinars), developing advertising assets, updating product collateral, managing client communications and email programs, as well as working closely with our regional marketing teams (event, digital marketing, and content) and corporate communications to deliver activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Campaign Development and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing plans, tailoring campaigns to support new product launches, promotions, and ongoing programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and local audience resonance.
  • SEO/SEM and Website Management: Partner with agencies to optimize search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve online visibility and drive traffic, while regularly updating and enhancing the Australian website with relevant content and features for an improved user experience.
  • Email Marketing and Digital Content Creation: Design, manage, and execute targeted email marketing campaigns to engage clients and drive conversions, while creating high-quality digital content for various platforms, ensuring it is compelling, informative, and aligned with brand messaging.
  • Events and Regional Collaboration: Organize and support digital events such as webinars as well as in-person events and industry sponsorships. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful execution and measure event success. Work closely with regional digital marketing teams to enhance integrated digital marketing campaigns and share best practices.
  • Metrics Analysis and Compliance: Monitor and analyze digital campaign metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement, ensuring all activities comply with local regulations and company policies through effective governance frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience with proven experience working in financial services (marketing, media, product strategy or research); experience in asset management industry is preferred
  • Strong and persuasive writing skills
  • Confidence to independently develop and articulate strategic insights
  • A solid understanding and curiosity to learn about the investment management industry including investment products, client segments and the competitor landscape
  • Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, be involved in many projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Highly effective in developing relationships with cross-functional and cross-regional team members
  • Strong project management skills, including an ability to move projects forward in a complex environment
  • Proven experience working with media and creative agencies – from campaign briefs, asset development, media planning and reporting.
  • Passionate, creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance, team environment.
