Role Description

The Aladdin Client Business is seeking an experienced client relationship manager with a strong track record in managing institutional clients within the alternative investments industry. This client facing role focuses on Australia and New Zealand clients. The successful candidate is responsible for contributing to the annual APAC harvesting target and maximizing the value of Aladdin Alternatives (eFront®) solution through strategic engagement as the trusted consultant, problem solver and business partner to our clients. The candidate will be required to deepen and grow client relationships through product and analytics expertise, to provide product feedback and direction to address evolving client needs. A consultative and proactive approach in partnering with clients and internal teams is a key differentiating factor for the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and own key relationships with existing clients including senior management to understand their needs & business objectives and help them use Aladdin Alternatives to achieve their firm’s goals, achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Work closely with senior sales management team and contribute to a strong pipeline of harvesting opportunities to drive Aladdin Alternatives sales in Australia and New Zealand amongst existing clients.

  • Engage in a consultative sales process to communicate and incorporate customer insights, motivations and product interests, to deliver persuasive client presentations.

  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of Aladdin Alternatives functionality and workflows, as well as industry expertise and market best practices to ensure clients take full advantage of the suite of Aladdin products and workflows.

  • Drive value delivery and engagement campaigns with end users to increase Aladdin Alternatives penetration and commercial outcomes across assigned client segments.

  • Partner with clients, as well as Aladdin Alternatives product managers, to support clients’ product development needs in this fast-evolving marketplace and actively manage client communications on product updates.

  • Develop strong internal relationships with all groups within Aladdin Client Business and the broader BlackRock organization to ensure excellent client experience and to convey client requirement holistically to the executive team.

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of work experience in Fintech sales or relationship management. Background in alternative investments and working knowledge of eFront® is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of or interest in Fintech and financial markets including private market sector.

  • An aptitude for learning new systems and relevant knowledge as the industry evolves.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships and to interact with clients at all levels (C-suite to operational level) and internal teams.

  • Proven track record in creating and implementing long-term strategies to penetrate system adoption, driving customer satisfaction, retention and relationship expansion.

  • A consultative approach to understanding client needs and a passion for solving problems.

  • Strong negotiation skills to navigate complex discussions and resolve issues between clients and the organization, and ability to leverage and enhance client relationships with a focus on commercial outcomes.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to varying audiences.

  • A self-starter mindset and drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, and works well as part of a multi-disciplinary global team.
