About this role

Role Brief

As the VP in Singapore at BlackRock, you will play a crucial role in the future of Regulatory Solutions. This position is vital to our growth strategy as we expand our presence in Singapore and navigate the constantly evolving regulatory landscape. You will work closely with senior leaders, experts in the field, and key individuals from various business divisions to ensure seamless compliance with regulations and prioritize effective risk management solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the creation and execution of operational procedures and frameworks to maintain ongoing compliance.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving active engagement and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of regulatory requirements across the organization.

  • Establishing and cultivating strong connections with important individuals, both within and outside the organization, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration regarding regulatory affairs.

  • Facilitating cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive alignment and consensus on regulatory requirements and solutions.

  • Acting as a liaison between different departments and teams to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of regulatory solutions.

  • Partnering with the global Regulatory Solutions team to support the ongoing evolution of our business.

  • Recruiting, mentoring, and developing an impactful team that champions excellence, partnership, and improvement.

Knowledge/Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Leadership experience, preferably in an operational role in a high-paced multinational environment.

  • Demonstrate a focus on achieving desired outcomes with excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.

  • A passion for fast-paced, high-intensity, and complex environments, with the ability to troubleshoot time-critical issues.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • The ability to clearly communicate objectives and articulate the rationale behind those goals.

  • The ability to facilitate compromise between conflicting requirements or points of view.

  • Self-motivation, with the ability to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly.
