About this role

BlackRock Singapore wealth team’s purpose is to provide high quality thought leadership & quality products to the Singapore wealth market. Our wealth team ultimately establishes relationships with distributors such as consumer banks, private banks, investment platforms, brokers, insurers and financial advisory firms to distribute BlackRock's alpha-seeking and iShares products, and drive the adoption of BlackRock's portfolio construction by tapping on our investment capabilities.

This role, reporting into the Director, Team Lead of Singapore Wealth Distribution, will provide sales support to the wealth team. The role partners with key account managers to optimally implement a business plan to drive BlackRock products and solutions to financial intermediaries in the wealth management industry. The sales support function will have an opportunity to experience a high level of client connectivity and represent the most comprehensive investment offering in the industry improving relationships to retain existing business and deliver new growth. They will also play a meaningful role in supporting new sales initiatives across the wealth team.

They will market a full range of investment strategies including traditional mutual funds, alternatives, ETFs, and multi-asset solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the key account managers, to implement the Singapore Wealth sales activity strategy

  • Respond independently to client queries, and raise where appropriate

  • Support content results, key projects and events to support sales activities

  • Exhibit knowledge of all investment products, including building out sales and marketing content on key products

  • Assist the team in preparing account plans, sales pipelines and sales data

  • Embrace the firm’s dedication to the client experience and exceed client contact expectations

  • Partner with colleagues across the organization to improve the BlackRock/Client relationship

  • Follow a team-based approach and leverage the Firm’s resources at appropriate times in the sales cycle

  • Diligent use of client relationship management tools to record client activity, meeting notes and pipelines

  • Regional business support tasks:

  • Prepare ad-hoc client materials and reports for Segment leads / Senior management

  • Work across Wealth teams to respond to regional client queries and internal reporting requirements

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • 6 months – 2 years of experience in finance required

  • Knowledge of investment trends

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience with web-based technology

  • BA/BS degree in related field

  • Strong time management, interpersonal skills and presentation skills

  • Strong teammate, who is able to collaborate credibly internally in order to demonstrate the Firm’s resources locally as well as globally
