Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute trades across multiple instruments for China’s primary and secondary markets, including the Stock Exchanges, China interbank rates and credits, money markets as well as derivatives markets.
  • Manage orders and trade flow in a logical, risk-controlled manner with high sensitivity to fiduciary responsibilities
  • Build and manage counterparty relationships to deliver solid and consistent execution results
  • Track and summarize market movements and provide timely feedback to PM on market conditions
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with other BlackRock teams to improve work flow and analysis across the trading platform
  • Apply skills to improve trading performance, identify efficiencies to build best-in-class quantitative and technological solutions.
  • Proactively contribute to the investment process to reduce transaction costs while identifying alpha opportunities
  • Handle day-to-day administrative support for trading activities and liaison with trading operations

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
  • Good knowledge of China’s financial markets, in particular fixed income trading. In-depth knowledge of credit, rates, money market; cross-asset experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • 3-5 years of related trading experience; derivative trading experience/qualification will be a plus.
  • Extensive connections with market participants, strong capability in developing new counterparty relationships
  • Well organized, disciplined approach to work with a high level of attention to details
  • Strong work ethic with high level of self-motivation, a real passion for improving, building and embracing change
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with multiple partners and stakeholders locally and globally.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English isessential.
