Team Overview

The Alternatives Client Services team support all of BlackRock’s privately placed alternatives products, including hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, private credit, private equity, special opportunity and real asset funds. Responsibilities for this position will involve a heavy concentration in day-to-day communications, reporting and data entry focusing on BlackRock’s alternative product platform. This position involves interaction with departments and business lines across the firm and offers an opportunity to join a fast paced and growing business within BlackRock. The successful candidate will be pro-active and flexible, will demonstrate initiative with an aim to succeed both as an individual and as a team.

Daily tasks may include:

  • Managing the client onboarding process including subscription document review and AML/KYC coordination. This also includes partnering with the transfer agencies for the proper sign off ahead of the fund closing.

  • Liaising with the Product Strategy and Sales Teams on the client pipeline throughout the offering period for the fund and providing updates on the status of onboarding.

  • Management of client data during onboarding process which includes building and maintaining client profiles and investor attribute universe.

  • Overseeing account level reporting and distributions to clients (i.e. monthly, quarterly, and annually)

  • Coordinating cash flow management with clients and portfolio managers (i.e. contributions, distributions, and product updates with clients / 3rd parties). Tracking and handling client cash flow activity.

  • Servicing as the liaison with clients and 3rd parties, fielding inquiries, researching requests, and coordinating appropriate responses

  • Transfer Agent oversight and quality control. Work with our 3rd parties to create transparency between BlackRock and vendors and ensure a positive client experience.

  • Guiding team members as needed in successful completion of Alternative Client Support processes, deliverables and or improvements

For Seattle, WA Only the salary range for this position is USD$90,000.00 - USD$120,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
