About this role

BlackRock is seeking a Cyber Infrastructure & Tools Associate to join its Cyber Operations organization in the APAC region. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the reliability, effectiveness, and resilience of cybersecurity monitoring and detection capabilities that support the firm’s global security posture.

The successful candidate will play a key role in investigating cybersecurity events, supporting detection quality, and ensuring the ongoing integrity of security telemetry and monitoring platforms. This position is well suited for a motivated cybersecurity professional looking to grow within a high‑performing, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

As a Cyber Infrastructure & Tools Associate, you will:

  • Conduct hands‑on investigation and analysis of cybersecurity incidents across the APAC region.

  • Contribute to the quality of detections, incident handling processes, and the ongoing reliability of security telemetry and monitoring capabilities.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional technology and security teams to support the implementation and continuous improvement of security controls and tools.

  • Develop, maintain, and update documentation related to security processes, procedures, and operational workflows.

  • Participate in threat hunting activities to proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate potential security risks.

  • Produce timely, accurate, and well‑structured reports on security incidents, trends, and operational findings.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, particularly in incident detection, investigation, and response.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical information.

  • Working knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms and security telemetry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a distributed, regional team.
