About this role

The Vice President, Security Innovation and Emerging Technology, will support the development and execution of key security technology initiatives across the enterprise. Reporting to the Global Head of Security, this role will drive innovation at the intersection of physical security, this role will focus on advancing the innovation at the intersection of physical security and technology, helping enhance risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and employee experience.

This individual will contribute to the delivery of security technology programs, including AI, automation, analytics, and integrated platforms, while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate environments and the ability to balance security requirements with a seamless workplace experience.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Security Technology, Workplace, and other stakeholders to implement solutions that are effective, proportionate, and aligned with the firm’s culture.

Key Responsibilities

Security Technology Strategy & Execution

  • Support the execution of the global security technology strategy and Roadmap.

  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of emerging security technologies, including AI-enabled tools, analytics, and automation.

  • Assist in developing standards and best practices to enhance consistency across security systems.

AI & Data-Driven Enablement

  • Assist in applying AI and data analytics to enhance physical security operations and reporting.

  • Partner with internal teams to support integration of security platforms with enterprise systems.

  • Promote responsible and compliant use of data and emerging technologies.

Business Enablement

  • Contribute to the design of security solutions that balance protection with a welcoming workplace environment.

  • Support senior team members in advising stakeholders on security design considerations.

  • Help ensure controls are risk-based and aligned with business needs.

Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across Security, Technology, Workplace, Legal, and HR.

  • Support vendor engagement, including coordination with technology providers and integrators.

  • Participate in industry forums and vendor discussions as appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–12 years of experience in corporate security, security technology, or related roles.

  • Experience in financial services or similarly regulated environments is preferred.

  • Exposure to security technology programs within complex organizations.

  • Working knowledge of physical security systems (access control, video surveillance, analytics platforms).

  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or data-driven solutions in a security or operational context.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, relevant certifications a plus.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$115,000.00 - USD$162,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
