Role Overview
The Retail Insurance Analyst supports the Relationship Management team in delivering a seamless client experience across investment strategy, servicing, and business development. This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking to build a career in institutional relationship management with a focus on insurance clients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior Relationship Managers in executing account plans and servicing insurance clients.
Support Senior Relationship Managers with ongoing business development, client service, and communication with clients and prospects.
Coordinate day-to-day delivery of BlackRock’s investment and advisory services, including:
Client reporting and portfolio reviews
Ad hoc data and strategy requests
Compliance monitoring and documentation
Support business development efforts by:
Preparing pitch materials, RFPs, and client engagement decks
Tracking pipeline activity and updating CRM systems
Collaborating with internal teams on onboarding and implementation
Develop a strong understanding of insurance company dynamics, including:
Product structures and distribution models
Regulatory and accounting frameworks
Strategic priorities and sensitivities
Support business development team on product campaign management and tracking with a detailed focus on pipeline organization on BlackRock’s CRM
Gather critical data to quickly respond orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholder requests.
Build relationships with key internal stakeholders across FIG, Retirement, Legal, and Client Experience teams to ensure coordinated client delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Has or is willing to obtain the Series 7, 63, and 3 licenses.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated interest in institutional relationship management and insurance markets.
Strong interpersonal skills to establish credibility with key stakeholders.
Collaborative approach to a team-based sales and service model.
