Job description
As a Strategy & Operations Vice President, you will work closely with the AWT COO and other AWT leadership to support the day-to-day business strategy and operations of the group. As part of this role, you will collaborate with our AWT Sales, RM, and Product teams, as well as Aladdin COO, BlackRock Legal & Compliance, and other internal partners across functions to meet both short-term and long-term objectives. A focus of this role will be to gain an understanding of business and commercial objectives, as well as product subject matter expertise, and execute on priorities aligned accordingly. Additionally, you will help drive core business processes to ensure business alignment with established policies and objectives.   

Successful candidates will be inquisitive, handle ambiguity well, and lead multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. They also have a high level of self-motivation, and are able to own and drive things forward, capturing feedback and identifying ways to do things better along the way. This will be an exciting opportunity for someone interested in Technology who is looking to learn about the Wealth Management industry and gain experience working in a client business organization.  

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Initiative & Revenue Growth: Support AWT COO and senior leadership to execute key strategic initiatives that align with AWT commercial objectives, enhance revenue, and improve client satisfaction across the globe. 
  • Framework Standardization Support: Support the development of standardized product packaging and pricing frameworks to accelerate entry into new markets and client segments, and thereafter support driving alignment with external positioning, collateral materials and contract language. 
  • Contracting Review & Evolution: Drive quicker contract closures by supporting regular reviews of contracting templates to reflect the latest evolution of product and service model frameworks. 
  • Business Content Review: Serve as Business Review support for external facing documents, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, strategically aligned outputs. Help develop a process framework to enhance efficiency. 
  • Operational Improvement & ROI Enhancement: Lead initiatives that optimize workflows and improve team collaboration through standardized frameworks, systems, forums, and operational efficiencies. 
  • Cross-Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Strengthen partnerships between Legal and AWT/Aladdin teams through information-sharing. 
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to highlight key areas of focus or opportunity, presenting findings in a clear and actionable manner for senior leadership. 
  • KPI Monitoring & Business Insights: Help track key performance indicators, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to improve business operations. 
  • AWT Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with RM, product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to support business goals and drive innovation. 

You have…

  • Experience in Finance, FinTech, wealth management or a related field.  
  • Interest in working in an entrepreneurial, ambiguous, fast paced environment.  
  • 5-8 years of experience in business management, consulting, or finance within the financial services industry.  
  • Expertise in project management with strong ability meet quick deadlines.  
  • Effective prioritization of multiple tasks and willingness to take on additional responsibility.  
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to synthesize key findings and produce presentations for senior audiences.  
  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting with an understanding of financial statements and metrics is a plus. 
  • Prior experience working with senior management is a plus.  


For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$137,500.00 - USD$180,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
