The BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) leverages the firm's expertise and generates proprietary research to provide insights on long-term asset allocation, the global economy, markets, sustainable investing and geopolitics – all to help our clients and portfolio managers navigate financial markets.
About this Role:
The New York-based digital specialist is part of the BlackRock Investment Institute’s (BII) publishing team. The person is responsible for innovating and maintaining BII’s digital properties and tools – and helping develop a strategy for them. The person will also help track BII’s impact on digital while working with our leads for media and client engagement to make the most of our digital footprint and connect it to BII’s commercial and media strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Improving and innovating BII’s digital footprint and impact, tied into how our content is presented on social media
Developing a strategy for BII’s digital impact given the changes in digital behavior with the rise of LLMs
Tracking and monitoring both digital and media performance metrics
Taking a lead on designing and updating our internal tool for sharing content with client-facing teams
Collaborating with Marketing to incorporate best practice on BII’s digital sites
Coordinating with BII’s commercial lead on leveraging BII digital properties to drive commercial impact
Working with the BII comms lead to handle monitoring of BII mentions and tracking media impact
Help with team writing including talking points for spokespeople
Qualifications:
Knowledge of and passion for economics and global financial markets
Superb digital skills and with a knack for sussing out how to respond to changing digital trends
A self-starter with loads of creativity, team spirit, versatility and persistence
Ability to work very quickly, deliver on or before deadline and go the extra mile
Intense attention to accuracy, detail and consistency
Intellectual curiosity
Excellent organizational and representational skills
Work experience of at least three years in digital-focused journalism
