Job Duties: Leverage Aladdin to transform our client's business workflows and reporting across portfolio construction, order management, risk reporting, ESG, and performance measurement & attribution. Collaborate closely with client leadership (e.g., Chief Investment Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Head Portfolio Managers, Chief Sustainability Officer) to understand client objectives and goals while delivering strong representation on behalf of the Aladdin Business. Lead and document the redesign of investment and reporting workflows across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and derivatives, with a focus on operational scale and efficiency. Work closely with the client and Aladdin Product Managers to support the product development needs of our clients. Improve the efficiency and repeatability of our execution methodology with each new implementation. Develop deep relationships within BlackRock Solutions and BlackRock to ensure the best client experience. Mentor junior members of the team. 15% domestic travel required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering Management, or a related field; and 24 months experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 12 months of experience involving the following: 1. Contributing to technology implementation projects as subject-matter expert or practice owner with a specific focus on front office business processes; 2. Coordinating client relationships including with portfolio managers, risk officers, and/or senior executives; 3. Working with capital market instruments including fixed income, equities, derivatives, and alternative assets both in terms of their indicative structure and the use in the investments lifecycle; 4. Working on front office processes/workflows, including CIO/CRO reporting and analysis, portfolio management, and risk management and analytics; 5. Applying security and portfolio risk analytics/investment risk concepts including: duration/convexity, risk factor exposure, VaR/Tracking Error, performance attribution; 6. Maintaining relational databases (both input and output); 7. Working with programming languages including Unix, SQL, Perl, Python.
