We are looking for an Associate/VP to join the team in a multi-faceted role that encompasses product development, management, and commercialization of our solutions across channels.

Whole Portfolio Associate/VP Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a core member of the Whole Portfolio Pillar, operating in a multi-functional and adaptive capacity across product development, product management, sales strategy, and pipeline activation.

  • Drive Sales Enablement by acting as the “connective tissue” across Models & Segmented Sales, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, and Product—developing sales plans, campaigns, firmwide activation strategies, and field‑ready support to enhance advisor engagement

  • Support product development initiatives such as new product launches, repositioning, and enhancements to the Whole Portfolio and model suite.

  • Lead internal and external activities tied to model trading and rebalancing, ensuring seamless coordination across investment, operations, sales, and other partners.  

  • Support commercial client engagements and flagship events, including the Model Advisory Council, Asset Allocation Forum, and other external-facing programming.

  • Manage Whole Portfolio sales functions across implementation partners (55ip, GeoWealth, Vestmark, etc.), including pipeline oversight, client onboarding coordination, and commercial activation.

  • Oversee the Custom Models pipeline across RIAs, broker‑dealers, and major platforms, ensuring visibility, prioritization, and timely follow‑through.

  • Partner with Marketing/Comms to evolve and commercialize the Whole Portfolio narrative, driving advisor awareness, demand, and adoption.

  • Partner across internal stakeholders including USWA Sales Leadership, MASS Investment COO, Legal, and Finance to inform and execute on product and commercial initiatives.

  • Stay current with industry trends and developments, assess the associated impact on BlackRock’s models business, leveraging insights to inform product innovation and commercial focuses.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong commercial mindset with effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Flexible, responsive, and self‑starting; demonstrated success operating in a complex, matrixed environment

  • Positive, partnership‑oriented approach grounded in a client‑first mindset

  • Experience supporting multiple initiatives across teams, with strong prioritization and execution capabilities

  • Genuine interest in quantitative analysis, with the ability to simplify complex information and deliver actionable insights

  • Experience with retail wealth management and/or asset management and established industry knowledge

  • Baseline expertise in models, ETFs, mutual funds, separate accounts and private markets

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant asset management industry experience with some Managed Account experience preferred

  • BA/BS degree required

  • NASD series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$150,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
