Generating alpha is core to the foundation and heart of BlackRock.  Alpha Marketing leads marketing for BlackRock’s alpha-generating platforms across active EQ, active FI, multi-asset strategies and alternatives.  Our mission is to help BlackRock’s partners and clients to achieve the alpha so critical to their investment needs and objectives.  We are responsible for building BlackRock’s active and alternatives brands and marketing our full range of investment vehicles across client segments globally.

Role and impact:

The Alpha Marketing team is seeking a Marketing Strategy Associate.  Their core focus will be developing and executing a marketing strategy to raise consideration of our alpha-generating platform across audiences (end investors, Financial Advisors, and Institutional investors).

The successful candidate will work in close partnership with our Alpha Marketing Content team to identify the most interesting and exciting insights to build integrating marketing activations around, aligned with business priorities, and then bring them to life!.

Our Alpha Marketing Strategy Associate will also work in close partnership with our active and alternatives pillar marketers – as well as product strategists and portfolio managers – to understand and execute on specific client needs relative to each asset class and each of our investment businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Alpha Marketing Leadership to develop and articulate integrated marketing approaches that drive consideration of – and ultimately flows into – our active strategies
  • Collaborate with distribution partners across BlackRock globally to execute integrated marketing campaigns, with a focus on efficacy, measurement and ROI across initiatives
  • Partner with investors, researchers and product strategists to deliver extraordinary insights to current and prospective clients

You have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in investment marketing, product strategy or similar
  • Understanding of asset management industry and markets
  • Deep knowledge of marketing strategy
  • Expertise in multiple scaled marketing mediums (web, social, events, etc.)
  • Eagerness and ability to “think outside the box” and bring new ideas to the table
  • Self-starter and able to execute with minimal direction and oversight
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
