Role and Impact
The Vice President, Search owns Aladdin’s global search growth strategy across SEO, GEO, Paid Search, and LLM‑driven discovery, with direct accountability for commercial impact. This role unifies organic and paid search into a single performance engine, leveraging large language models and AI‑powered search experiences to capture demand, influence consideration, and drive revenue.
By integrating data, insights, and investment across traditional search and LLM surfaces, the VP ensures Aladdin’s priority messages are visible where and how decisions are now made. Partnering closely with business and commercial marketing leaders, this role future‑proofs Aladdin’s search presence and delivers measurable growth in a rapidly evolving AI‑led landscape.
Responsibilities
- Own Search Growth Strategy: Define and execute Aladdin’s integrated search strategy across SEO, GEO, Paid Search, and LLM‑driven discovery, aligned to global business and revenue priorities.
- SEO Champion & Tactical Lead: Serve as Aladdin’s go-to expert for SEO, providing tactical implementations, technical recommendations, and strategic guidance. Act as the SEO advocate and champion within the organization, ensuring best practices are embedded across all digital initiatives.
- Lead AI & LLM Discovery: Establish Aladdin’s presence across AI‑powered and LLM‑native search surfaces, ensuring priority messages influence modern research and buying decisions.
- Performance Measurement & Optimization: Set KPIs and measurement frameworks that link search performance to pipeline, customer acquisition, and revenue growth; optimize continuously for ROI.
- Technical Auditing & Monitoring: Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits using Conductor and related tools to identify issues related to crawlability, indexability, site speed, international language targeting and structured data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business, regional, and product marketing teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
- Innovation & Industry Engagement: Stay at the forefront of AI-driven search trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies; represent BlackRock at industry events and with key partners.
Core Skills
- Mastery of technical SEO, content strategy, paid search, and analytics platforms (Conductor, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
- Deep expertise across SEO, GEO, Paid Search, and analytics, with the ability to integrate these into a single commercial growth strategy
- Strong command of AI‑powered search, LLMs, and emerging discovery platforms
- Advanced analytical skills with a proven ability to translate data into clear business insights and investment decisions
- Hands‑on, execution‑oriented leadership style with ownership from strategy through delivery
- Experience building measurement frameworks that link search performance to revenue and growth outcomes
- Strong vendor, budget, and project management capabilities
- Proven ability to collaborate across Marketing, Media, Product, Editorial, Social, and Technology teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with deep expertise in search (SEO, GEO, Paid Search) and paid media at scale.
- Proven track record of leading global teams and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Extensive hands-on experience planning, executing, and optimizing paid search campaigns including budget management, audience targeting, and ROI analysis.
- Hands-on experience with technical audits, site speed optimization, and structured data implementation.
- Proficiency in Conductor, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Adobe Analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with AI-powered search, LLMs, and emerging digital marketing technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
