About this role

We are hiring an Administrative Business Partner to support the Global Corporate Communications leadership team, based in New York. You will partner closely with this team, managing their complex administrative and business support needs, operating with minimal direction and demonstrating a high-level of attention to detail and organization skills with strong follow through.

About Corporate Communications

An important part of BlackRock’s Corporate Affairs function, the Global Corporate Communications team leads all internal and external communications that advance our purpose of helping more and more people experience financial well-being. The team is responsible for driving compelling communications and stakeholder engagement strategies that enhance our culture, drive growth, strengthen our reputation, and build our brand.

Responsibilities

  • Adeptly manage complex and high-volume calendars and provide strategic calendar management support, including proactively addressing scheduling conflicts
  • Regularly collaborate with the administrative staff for the firm’s most senior leaders
  • Coordinate business travel and process the relevant expenses in line with company policy
  • Partner with the Global Corporate Administrative team to ensure there is appropriate coverage for phone lines and in-office presence as needed
  • Serve as the main point of contact for external visitors and coordinate with operational teams to ensure compliance with security protocol/procedures
  • Understand the team’s priorities and strategies and optimize your role in administration to support these goals
  • Manage the flow of information, ensuring collaboration with stakeholders through information sharing and alignment
  • Plan medium to large scale internal/external events and coordinate detailed logistics

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of related administrative experience
  • The ability to be forward thinking: identify what needs to be done and take action before being asked
  • Experience regularly interacting with senior executives
  • A willingness to actively participate in additional activities/tasks outside of the team (e.g., employee networks)
  • Skilled in exercising discretion and independent judgement, comfortable operating with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a high-level of emotional intelligence
  • A strong proficiency in Microsoft office and collaboration tools; a curiosity in new technology
  • A proactive mindset, capable of identifying operational efficiency and implementing new procedures, approaches, and technology to make improvements across the team


For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$80,000.00 - USD$145,000.00 which is the equivalent of USD$38.46 - USD$69.71 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
