About this role


Your Team

The Global Corporate Sustainability Controllers (GCSC) team is responsible for the governance, management, and reporting of sustainability data and metrics that support internal decision-making, external disclosures, assurance activities, and evolving reporting requirements across the firm. The team partners closely with stakeholders across Finance & Strategy, Corporate Sustainability, Technology, Operations, and other business functions to enhance the quality, consistency, governance, and accessibility of sustainability-related information. As sustainability reporting requirements continue to evolve, the team is focused on strengthening controls, improving data quality, increasing reporting efficiency, and building scalable processes that support future business needs. 

This role sits within the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting pillar of GCSC. The pillar is responsible for the development, governance, reporting, and continuous improvement of the firm's operational GHG inventory and associated reporting processes. The team plays an important role in delivering trusted emissions data, supporting assurance activities, and helping the firm monitor progress against its operational sustainability objectives.

Your Role and Impact

The Sustainability Data, Process & Reporting Associate will play a key role in both the delivery and modernization of the firm's operational GHG reporting processes.  This role combines participation in GHG inventory reporting, controls, and assurance activities with dedicated responsibility for identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements. The successful candidate will help improve how sustainability data is collected, managed, validated, and reported while supporting the team's efforts to enhance reporting efficiency, scalability, timeliness, and data quality.

The role provides a unique opportunity to apply data analysis, process optimization, automation, and technology-enabled problem solving within a rapidly evolving sustainability reporting environment. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the individual will help challenge existing ways of working, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the development of more efficient and scalable reporting capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the collection, validation, reconciliation, and consolidation of data used in the operational GHG inventory and related sustainability reporting activities.
  • Support reporting, controls, documentation, audit readiness, and assurance activities to help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reported information.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of existing sustainability reporting processes, data flows, systems, operational dependencies, and control frameworks.

  • duce manual effort, and enhance data quality through data-driven process improvements.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation opportunities, workflow enhancements, and scalable reporting solutions that improve operational effectiveness and reporting timeliness.
  • Partner with stakeholders across sustainability, enterprise services, finance, data, and technology teams to deliver reporting improvements and support implementation of enhanced processes and tools.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities that can enhance sustainability reporting, management information, operational decision-making, and process efficiency.

Your Experience

  • Experience working within reporting, controls, or assurance environments, with a strong understanding of reporting processes, reconciliations, governance frameworks, and the production of reliable management or external reporting.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements through automation, workflow redesign, technology-enabled solutions, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable solutions.
  • Sustainability reporting, GHG accounting, environmental reporting, or environmental data management experience.
  • Experience partnering effectively with stakeholders across business, operations, and technology teams to deliver improvements and solve complex business challenges.
  • Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, automation, and artificial intelligence-enabled solutions, with a focus on improving business processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

Yours Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree.
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience (ideally Financial Services).
  • Experience working with PowerBI, SQL, AI models or comparable data management and automation tools.
