Position Description

PFS is seeking an Associate/Vice President level individual to join our Risk & Quant Strat (RQS) team in Mumbai. The VP/Associate will support the day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) operations of the Quant Credit pod within the Private Financing Solutions (PFS) Risk function. The role will help ensure that recurring credit analytics, portfolio monitoring and reporting processes are completed accurately and on schedule. A core focus will be data quality assurance through structured reconciliations, exception investigation, documentation and coordination with business, risk, data and technology stakeholders. The VP/Associate will also support business requests, process improvements and project delivery across private credit risk workflows.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

BAU Operations & Process Execution

  • Execute and coordinate recurring Quant Credit pod processes, including data preparation, validation, portfolio monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Maintain process calendars, checklists, trackers and operating documentation to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor daily and periodic workflows, identify exceptions or breaks, and coordinate timely follow-up with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Serve as a dependable point of contact for routine process questions, status updates and operational support.

Data Quality Assurance & Reconciliations

  • Perform recurring reconciliations across source systems, databases, analytical outputs and reporting files to assess accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Investigate data mismatches, missing records, stale inputs and other exceptions; document findings and support root-cause analysis and remediation.
  • Maintain clear evidence of data checks, exceptions, resolutions and approvals to support control, governance and auditability requirements.
  • Track data-quality issues and trends, escalate material exceptions, and follow through with business and technology teams until resolution.
  • Support testing and validation of data changes, process enhancements and model or reporting updates before production use.

Credit Analytics & Business Support

  • Support recurring credit-risk analytics and portfolio monitoring, including rating migration, downgrade-risk and related surveillance metrics.
  • Prepare analyses, management information, presentation materials and status updates for business and risk stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad hoc data and analytical requests by gathering requirements, validating outputs and communicating results clearly.
  • Develop a practical understanding of private credit portfolios, underlying data, analytical methodologies and downstream reporting requirements

Projects, Process Improvement & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Support projects from requirements gathering and planning through testing, implementation and post-launch monitoring.
  • Coordinate actions, milestones, risks, dependencies and decisions using project-management tools such as Asana or JIRA.
  • Work with business, risk, data and technology teams to translate operational needs into clear requirements and practical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize or automate recurring workflows using Excel, SQL and, where applicable, Python.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to streamline recurring workflows, reduce manual effort, identify and alleviate operational bottlenecks, and improve overall process efficiency.
  • Prepare concise process documentation, user guides, meeting materials and presentations to support stakeholder alignment and adoption

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field;
  • 3-6 years experience at Associate level and 7+ years experience for a VP in project management, process management, operations, data quality, risk analytics or a related business-support function.
  • Working knowledge of statistics and credit-risk concepts, including rating migration and downgrade risk.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with practical experience using Python and SQL.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with project-management tools such as Asana or JIRA.
  • Excellent coordination, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational ability, attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver with limited handholding.
  • Hands-on experience with Python or another programming language preferred.
  • Experience performing data reconciliations, investigating exceptions or supporting data-control frameworks preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve process efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and resolve operational bottlenecks preferred.
  • Exposure to private credit, investment operations, risk management, credit analytics or financial-services data preferred.
  • Experience supporting workflow automation, user acceptance testing, reporting enhancements or technology-enabled change preferred.
  • CFA Charter holder preferred
