About this role
Description: The MS Power Apps Developer will design, build and maintain business-facing applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate. This role focuses on delivering user-friendly, scalable and reliable applications that enhance business workflows, integrate with enterprise data sources and support data-driven decision-making. In addition, the developer will contribute to master data management (MDM) practices by ensuring consistent, high-quality data integration across Power Platform solutions. The developer will work closely with business analysts, BI developers and data teams to translate business goals into effective app and automation solutions.
Responsibilities
Application Development
Build and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) with an emphasis on usability, performance and responsiveness
Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes
Integrate apps with APIs, data sources (including Snowflake, SQL Server and SharePoint) and Microsoft Dataverse
Implement UI/UX enhancements for better user adoption and engagement
Data Integration & MDM Support
Collaborate with data teams to ensure Power Apps solutions align with MDM strategies
Support master data quality by applying validation rules, governance policies and integration checks within app workflows
Contribute to the design of data models and integration strategies that ensure data consistency across systems
Assist in identifying and resolving data quality issues within business apps
Collaboration & Business Partnership
Partner with business analysts to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
Work with stakeholders across GIP and BlackRock to ensure app functionality supports investment, operational and reporting goals
Provide training, documentation and support for end users of Power Apps solutions
Optimization & Governance
Monitor and tune app and workflow performance for reliability and scalability
Ensure adherence to data security, compliance and governance standards
Maintain documentation for applications, workflows and integration points
Evaluate new Power Platform features and propose enhancements to the application ecosystem
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
Training or certification in Microsoft Power Platform and/or data governance (preferred)
Experience
4-6 years of experience developing applications with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
Hands-on experience with API integrations, Dataverse and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Exposure to master data management, data governance or data quality initiatives
Experience working with enterprise-scale applications in financial services (preferred)
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
Strong SQL and data integration skills; familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses is a plus
Basic understanding of MDM principles, including data governance, data quality management and stewardship
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and troubleshoot application workflows
Knowledge of application lifecycle management, including testing, deployment and maintenance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders
Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS) and Microsoft ecosystem tools
