The Team provides a fully integrated service platform for BlackRock in Latin America, emphasizing client service, risk management, and platform scalability. Our responsibilities span end-to-end operational functions required to support local and international Mutual Funds, SMAs, Alternatives, and ETFs, and clients. The team works closely with Regional and Global business functions and senior leadership to deliver on operating priorities which proactively align with commercial and business strategies.
About the Role
We are hiring multiple Analysts to join our Latin America Business Operations team in Mexico City. These roles will support two complementary teams—Client Services and Local Product Services. This hybrid posting reflects a unified search process for candidates interested in either function, both of which are critical to delivering operational excellence, product oversight, and client satisfaction across the region.
Key Responsibilities
For the Client Service team:
The role serves as the primary client contact for managing the daily operational lifecycle of portfolios, ensuring timely responses to inquiries, resolving incidents related to payments, dealings, and other transactions, and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive engagement.
Responsibilities include coordinating contractual negotiations, overseeing external service providers, facilitating compliance processes such as KYC and AML, and monitoring performance through KPIs.
Expectations over time will include opportunities to drive scale creation through process improvement, aligning regional practices with global standards, and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver a best-in-class client experience.
For the Local Product Services team:
The position oversees the trade lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations in coordination with custodians, brokers, and distributors. It includes managing mirror transactions, activating contingency protocols when necessary, and resolving discrepancies to maintain business continuity.
The Analyst role will coordinate onboarding processes for local banks and brokers, maintain trading agreements, and manage third-party provider relationships for required account statements, tax documentation, SWIFT messaging, and fee approvals.
The role also encompasses supporting audits and regulatory reviews by coordinating documentation requirements and walkthroughs that illustrate effective operational controls.
As an Analyst, you will have opportunities to develop a detailed understanding of the firm’s operating platform and contribute to projects for new or existing services. Additionally, you will explore avenues for innovation by automating workflows and implementing AI and RPA capabilities. These actions can help reduce risk, streamline resource-intensive processes, and promote scalability.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, computer science, or a related field is required, along with at least one year of experience in financial services, preferably in asset management, trade operations, or client service.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of capital markets, local regulatory frameworks, as well as proficiency in English and Spanish.
Technical skills in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools are essential, while familiarity with Python, VBA, and Aladdin is an advantage.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, inclusive, and collaborative approach is key.
Certification in “Figura 3” is desirable.
