About this role
BlackRock is looking for an Associate for its Corporate Treasury team in Mexico City.
The Associate will manage and coordinate cash management operations of the Latin America region, including bank account management, monitoring regional cash balances, providing backup payment support, and various ad-hoc responsibilities. The Associate will be responsible for contributing to the service quality delivery of the team.
The Associate will ideally have Latin America treasury and/or banking experience and a demonstrated ability to provide operational excellence, learn quickly, enable change and deliver high quality results.
Responsibilities:
Support the corporate cash management and liquidity activities in Latin America, partnering with the corporate banks of BlackRock
Monitor and manage daily cash balances and cash flows for the Latin America region
Respond to transaction and payment inquiries from other BlackRock groups, including reaching out to internal and external parties as needed
Coordinate submission of Treasury related payments, including ad-hoc manual payments requiring letter of instruction from local signatories
Develop and maintain actual, short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts identifying key trends and insights to support business decision-making
Manage and coordinate corporate bank account opening, closing and KYC process with various banks as well as signer updates
Support other global Treasury deliverables and projects, including process improvement initiatives and ad hoc Board and Committee reporting
Assist in the implementation and improvement of treasury systems and banking platforms
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in Treasury / Cash Management in a multi-national corporation, with a track record of strong performance
Experience with foreign exchange activities welcome
Fluency (written & oral) in Spanish & English is required
Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preference for Accounting / Finance
Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and rigor
Organized and methodical, ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines
Self-starter, quick learner, team player with collegial orientation and desire to take on responsibility
Advanced or expert skills in Excel required, VBA coding experience welcome
Strong knowledge of uses of technology to improve efficiency
