This team sits within Global Accounting and Product Services (GAAPS), one of the essential functions within the Technology & Operations group at BlackRock responsible for supporting BlackRock's worldwide operations across all asset classes and geographies.

The Latin America Client Service team is a group of professionals within BlackRock’s Technology & Operations organization. The Client Service team is responsible for managing all aspects of the client journey and delivering a best-in-class experience to our clients. This team works closely with Sales and Product Specialists to provide day-to-day support to clients and deliver on the client strategy. As a member of the LatAm Client Service Team, you will be an extension to the sales and relationship management team. Closely collaborating with internal BlackRock business partners like Portfolio Management, Investments, Portfolio Compliance, AML, Onboarding, Legal & Compliance, Sales, Trade Operations, Financial Reporting and Fund Accounting teams to deliver support and co-coverage to our LatAm clients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Central point of contact to clients in activities related to the daily operational lifecycle of their portfolios.

  • Continuously build and maintain, through proactive engagement, the client’s trust, and overall satisfaction in our service delivery, anticipating their requirements and handling ongoing client queries.

  • Respond to client inquires in a timely manner, in accordance with internal procedures, keeping clients updated and being a great partner to mitigate the impact of dissatisfaction.

  • Management of client incidents related but not limited to, payments, dealings, dividends, and retrocessions.

  • Building and maintaining a strong partnership with internal and external business partners to deliver the best-in-class service and experience to our clients.

  • Developing a holistic understanding of BlackRock’s Operating Platform capabilities.

  • Have a continuous focus on process improvement in the service model to minimize risk, drive efficiency and deliver a best-in-class client experience.

  • Assist in driving a consistent servicing model with other client service/operational teams across the region and identifying opportunities to implement process enhancements that align with BlackRock's global operational model.

  • Coordinate contractual negotiations.

  • Facilitate the “Know your Client & Anti Money Laundering” due diligence process.

  • Oversee external service providers, such as custodians and record keepers, responsible for services provided to clients and the interaction with BlackRock on exchange of daily and periodical information related to a portfolio.

  • Create and follow up on Key Performance Indicators implemented with our service providers.

  • Participate in projects related to existing or new services provided locally.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, business management, finance, economics or equivalent.

  • Ideal candidate will have proven experience of 1-3 years in the financial services.

  • Knowledgeable with investment management, investment operations, investment accounting/reporting are preferred.

  • Experience in client service and client facing functions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to adapt to evolving client needs.

  • Experience working in a team setting and have consistent track record to collaborate across complex organizations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Robust data analysis and data visualization skills preferred.

  • Candidates should have a keen eye for opportunities to build efficiency, and a track record of executing these improvements.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Fluency (written and oral) in both English and Spanish required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Candidates must be able to consistently execute, show strong organization skills, and have a meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ambitious work ethic, professional disposition, detail oriented and a passion for solving problems and working with clients.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and determined to achieve goal.

  • Ability to build relationships and faceoff with clients at all levels and functions; can work through difficult problems and in conflict situations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, OneNote, etc.).

  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, and VBA are a plus.

  • (Internal candidates only): Familiar with the Aladdin platform, specifically the Dashboard, CIM, Aladdin View, ADAM, GP, and Aladdin CRM applications, as well as Aladdin Tools for Excel (i.e. ATX).
