About the team
The Aladdin COO Client Risk Controls team interacts with the Aladdin client community to ensure clients fully understand the operational and technology controls for all of Aladdin’s offerings. In addition to our existing client community, the Aladdin COO team demonstrates Aladdin’s operational risk and controls frameworks to prospective clients, playing an integral role in the business’s sales cycle.
About the role
As a Vice President, you will be partner closely with our Aladdin Commercial Operations team in the contract negotiations process, communicating Aladdin’s technology and operational risk controls frameworks to our Aladdin client community, as well as executing on our technology business strategy, including involvement in key technology and operational enablement initiatives. Key responsibilities will include:
- Work with Aladdin Sales team to identify potential risk exposures during contracting process for review, negotiation and resolution.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to facilitate Aladdin client onsite / virtual assessment and coordinate demonstration of controls and artifacts. Examples include: information / cyber security, user access and provisioning, cloud governance, and SDLC framework.
- Refine and optimize the Aladdin technology risk framework to scale as the Aladdin client community expands – work closely with key client partners (e.g. various technology teams, information security).
- Lead all aspects of key Aladdin related technology exercises to ensure accurate execution and key client communications
- Drive tangible change to the Aladdin risk landscape by leading audit related projects.
- Work directly with Aladdin Engineering team and the BlackRock Information Security team to execute strategic technology initiatives to strengthen the Aladdin platform
About you
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional interested in shaping the future of financial technology with a proven track record of interfacing with clients to articulate the Aladdin technology and operational risk controls frameworks. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where they are trusted to work with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. The candidate will be comfortable working across many partners, including interaction with senior leaders of both BlackRock and our Aladdin client community.
What we are looking for
- 7+ years’ experience in technology with experience working for a technology provider being a plus
- Proven ability in the risk and controls space with a strong understanding of industry recognised standards and reporting (SOC, ISO, etc)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence at all organizational levels and bridge technical, contractual and regulatory perspectives
- Proficiency in English required; additional languages and prior international work experience are desirable
