About this role

**London or Budapest**

About BlackRock

BlackRock is the world’s largest asset manager, trusted by investors globally to help them achieve financial well-being. We combine cutting-edge technology with deep investment expertise to deliver innovative solutions across markets.

About the Team

BlackRock’s Transition Management (TRIM) team manages over 300 transitions annually across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios. With hubs in London, Budapest, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong, TRIM delivers tailored solutions through analytics, portfolio and risk management, and trading implementation.

Our clients include central banks, sovereign wealth funds, public and corporate pension plans, and other institutional investors. The team of 50+ professionals offers one of the industry's most comprehensive transition platforms, partnering with clients to deliver the full power of BlackRock.

Why this role is a great opportunity

This role is well suited to candidates looking to develop hands‑on experience with institutional clients, complex portfolio events, and cross‑functional collaboration. You will work closely with experienced Client Strategists and gain visibility across senior internal stakeholders and external clients, building a strong foundation for a long‑term career at BlackRock.

The Role

We are seeking a Junior Client Relationship Manager to support our Transition Management business across EMEA institutional and wealth clients. You will be part of a global team responsible for supporting EMEA‑based Client Strategists and will work closely with BlackRock’s broader client coverage, investment, and product strategy teams.

This role offers a clear development pathway, with the opportunity over time to progress into a Client Strategist position, taking greater ownership of client relationships and transition strategy.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will build strong commercial, technical and client‑facing skills by supporting the full transition lifecycle, including:

  • Developing high‑quality, investment‑grade client presentations alongside experienced Client Strategists
  • Supporting responses to RFPs and client requests, gaining exposure to how institutional clients evaluate transition providers
  • Coordinating client meetings, roadshows and due‑diligence sessions
  • Partnering with internal teams across investments, trading, operations and technology to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Building and maintaining sales and activity reporting, developing strong commercial awareness and data discipline
  • Creating and maintaining management information and reporting materials for senior stakeholders
  • Ensuring accuracy of reporting and keeping internal partners informed of progress against objectives
  • Supporting new business development and repeat client engagement
  • Promoting BlackRock’s transition capabilities internally and externally
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvements and efficiency initiatives

No two days are the same. On any given day, you may be preparing client materials, supporting internal discussions, analysing pipeline activity, or helping coordinate complex client engagements.

What You’ll Bring

We recognise that strong candidates may not meet every criterion below. We are particularly interested in individuals with curiosity, drive, and a strong desire to learn.

  • Interest in Transition Management, institutional investing and capital markets
  • Commercial awareness and a client‑first mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Understanding of, or strong interest in learning about, sales processes and institutional clients
  • Knowledge of financial markets and the ability to engage effectively with partners across the firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas into clear, client‑friendly language
  • Proven ability (or strong aptitude) for creating high‑quality client materials
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail and comfort working to tight deadlines
  • A sense of ownership and accountability, with a willingness to step beyond defined responsibilities when required
  • Strong work ethic, curiosity and motivation to develop professionally

Technical skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Languages

  • Additional European or international languages are beneficial but not essential
