The L&F Investment Platform Solutions (IPS) team works with investments and markets professionals on developing and executing platform strategy and owns technology risk management for the business. Our mission is to define & align technology initiatives to maximize their impact and deliver scale across liquidity and financing. Your role and impact
We are seeking a dynamic and curious Product Manager to join the platform team in EMEA. The focus will be EMEA (and APAC), but you will be empowered to manage technology risk and develop the global platform strategy. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of technology solutions to support key initiatives such as the automation of our trillion-dollar cash business and our growing financing business. In EMEA, there will also be a focus on delivering our readiness for T+1 settlements across EU.
Additionally, the team owns aspects of daily platform management and leads coordination between various business functions and partners across the firm. The team operates at the intersection between markets and technology, giving you the opportunity to hone product management skills while learning how BLK delivers financing and liquidity performance to clients and investment teams and balances financial resource capacity.
Your responsibilities
Engage with partners in L&F, specifically cash & financing, and across BlackRock to develop and manage the technology implementation strategy for key initiatives (Cash PM automation, UST Clearing, EU T+1)
Partner with the Aladdin Engineering (AE) and business leadership to ensure technology asks are properly designed and articulated to maximize impact
Work with the broader platform team and partners to ensure operational readiness and coordinate the response to any platform instability
Provide oversight for and coordinate the development life-cycle with Aladdin Product Management (APM), including change and release management, and create a reporting framework that builds transparency for L&F management
Manage various aspects of our platform with a focus on resolving issues, collaborating with all affected teams and partners groups, ensuring appropriate regional communications, and owning any follow-ups
Work with teams across the engine to identify and drive process improvements and ensure initiatives are appropriately prioritized
You have
3+ years substantial experience in a technology support, product management, project management or financial technology service type roles
Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
Experience with financial technology such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, and SQL/Python skills preferred
Familiarity with Agile principles and technology such as Aha or Miro to help manage Product lifecycle
Forward thinking skills and desire to innovate, leverage AI & improve processes while paying attention to details
Knowledge of and interest in portfolio management & capital markets
Ability to stay calm, multitask and prioritize assignments while producing high quality work in a fast-paced environment
