Position Description:
The EMEA Cash Management Sales team is responsible for distributing money market funds and custom solutions to a variety of client sectors across the region, The team is seeking a sales and relationship manager to drive asset growth through new client and partnership acquisition, development of an existing portfolio of clients and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Key account Relationship Management
- Leading strategic client targeting and designing engaging meetings that uncover client needs and interests to grow asset levels and revenues.
- Identifying and onboarding new platforms, banking and wealth relationships to broaden distribution.
- Working collaboratively with partners across BlackRock to meet clients’ objectives and develop innovative solutions that bring the best of BlackRock.
- Act as key day to day contact for key intermediary and platform relationships
- Provide strategic input into developing the service model for clients.
- Responsible for planning and budgeting for client segment engagement and events.
- Assist in setting sales strategy and reporting business metrics for the channel
- Add to the Team’s friendly and coaching atmosphere.
- Prospect and initiate brand building and sales activity with investors not currently engaged in discussions with the cash management business.
- Develop and execute strategy to uncover and develop opportunities that will have the most commercial impact.
- Gather critical data to quickly respond orally and in writing to client information requests.
- Write and publish client meeting summary notes posted to firm wide client relationship management systems.
- Assist and lead client and intermediary on-boarding with sales support teams, including account documentation updates and portfolio guideline changes. Provide strong client service throughout onboarding with BlackRock.
The ideal candidate will have experience and have demonstrated a track record in the following areas:
- A consistent and proven track record of relationship management and sales delivery
- Particular knowledge of Money Markets and Short-Term Funding markets preferred (but not essential)
- Knowledge of Financial Institutions, preferably including Regulatory frameworks, financial ecosystem and liquidity requirements
- A motivated individual with a strong work ethic, who demonstrates multi-tasking ability and delivery to time and quality
- Team player and organizational skills a must
- Ability to communicate at a senior level and operate independently is essential
- Highest ethical standards and displays both professional and personal integrity.
- Strong sense of self-motivation encouraged and motivated by quest for building new relationships and revenue generation.
- Strong intellectual ability and interpersonal skills to establish credibility with the institutional investor community and senior leaders throughout the Firm.
- Collaborative and cooperative approach to a team-based sales model.
- Strong communication skills - ability to articulate complicated concepts and systems concisely.
