Team Overview

The International Cash Management Group manages a suite of products that includes Prime and Government Money Market and Ultra-Short Duration Mutual funds and Separate Accounts. BlackRock’s cash management style is designed to meet each client’s objectives of capital preservation, liquidity and yield – in that order.  This philosophy is built on a risk-controlled framework, featuring careful analysis of credit, interest rate trends, and relative value opportunities which ultimately produce investment returns on a risk adjusted basis. Our disciplined approach to investing originated in 1973 when we pioneered the first constant-dollar money market fund dedicated to institutional investors.

Job Purpose

The International Cash Management Group Product & Platform team is seeking a business analyst to support the platform function based in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for platform support to aid in the maintenance and growth of the International Cash Management business. We are looking for a risk adverse, motivated individual who can provide support to our governance function and aid in the efficient running of the business, while ensuring our distribution process and client experience are second to none.

The role will report directly into the Product lead for the International Cash Management Group Product & Platform team and will require someone with strong communication skills coupled with the ability to manage time and prioritize effectively. Tasks will include but won’t be limited to supporting the platform lead, aiding in internal/external stakeholder management, team and governance-based reporting and acting as an escalation point for operational based queries. A strong understanding of the Cash Management business and its operational framework will be required to ensure that processes and procedures are adequate and are constantly reviewed and enhanced. Ownership and oversight of our pooled fund external administrators and developing our client experience are also key responsibilities. The role will also offer the opportunity to support in key projects of the wider team that have a specific platform based requirement.

The role will bring the individual into regular contact with stakeholders across BlackRock. Close interaction with all Cash business functions (wider Product & Platform team, Sales and Sales Support, Legal & Compliance and Marketing) will be expected, as well as with other key partner teams and businesses across BlackRock.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Support both the Product Lead and wider Product & Platform team with the efficient running of the business

  • Aid in the governance framework that ensures the International Cash management team is fulfilling our responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Sales teams to ensure all Distribution processes are followed acting as an escalation point where necessary

  • Continual assessment of the wider team’s processes to ensure they are fit for purpose from regulatory, internal and client expectations

  • Support all client DDQ / RFI / RFP requests from the Platform perspective

  • Maintain and develop best in class regulatory, client and internal reporting capabilities

  • Provide support to ongoing projects and initiatives

  • Contribute to relationships with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Fund oversight functions and operational teams

  • Identify areas of improvement or efficiency opportunities across processes

  • Contribute to relationships with external stakeholders such as pooled fund Administration functions including transfer agents, custodians and fund accountants

  • Client experience: From Operational solutioning to Onboarding and reporting ensure we maintain and develop our best-in-class client experience.

Knowledge / Experience Required:

  • Preferred minimum 2-3 years of experience with an analytical and process driven background. An organized approach to work and strong time management skills are a must

  • Ability to assess processes, identify gaps and enhance them with a risk adverse mindset

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines

  • Strong communications skills and the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders

  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required,

  • Prior VBA, python, SQL experience required

  • Interpersonal skills to help foster an inclusive culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing

  • Fluency in English required. Another language desirable but not essential
