About this role
Overview: The Agile Delivery Lead is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the deliveryprocess optimizationfor AFE. This role requires an experienced transformation lead, to help drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency with metrics demonstrable results and help foster a collaborative team environment.
We are seeking someone to help us help our teams identify and remove friction to delivery so they can focus more of their time on value producing, satisfying work for the benefit of our clients. This is an opportunity to make a direct and significant positive impact across hundreds of people in our global AFE team!
Key Responsibilities for the designated Product Engineering area:
Lead Agile Transformationfor AFE: Spearhead the agile transformation efforts within AFE by developing and implementing agile strategies, frameworks, and best practices. Drive cultural change towards agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals to enhance value delivery.
Enhance Productivity and Quality:Support teams to set and deliver againstproductivity goals through delivery efficiency improvements while building systems toensure high-quality deliverables that are adherent to BLK firmwide policies and maximize customer value.
Develop Agile Champions and Mentor Teams:Build and supporta scaled network of agile champions within AFE and help provide them with the knowledge and skills for consistent, value-focused agile practices, and coach teams in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) tailored to optimize their ability to deliver value.
Ensure Alignment and Transparency: Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and teams to maintain alignment and transparency, ensuring that all efforts are focused on delivering value.
Remove Impediments and Friction to delivery:Identify and address impediments and friction points in the delivery process to maintain a smooth flow of value delivery and streamline operations.
Foster Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by embedding lean, system, and design thinking principles to sustain and increase value delivery.
Lead delivery metrics and reporting adoption in AFE: Ensure teams are equipped with the right tracking, practices and tooling set up to effectively track work and ensure reporting and metrics insights are frequently reported and assessed to identify where to target support. Providing oversight and guidance on the usage of Azure DevOps (ADO) and Aha!
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to build strong, trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders and a proven track record of being able to influence change beyond scope of direct control
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsthat are appropriately curated for the audience.
Strong organizational skills, ideally some program management or change management experience
The ability to research from multi sourcescomplex processes and then visualize /documentin an easy-to-understand manner by diverse stakeholders is essential.
Experience in managing cross-boundary programs of work.
Ability to interpret delivery metrics data and derive and communicate insights from them.
Experience in navigating a large organization and working with multiple teams.
Good working knowledge of Agile ways of working; strong familiarity with Scrum and scaling Scrum ceremonies, principles, practices and, ideally, experience in driving delivery process improvements.
Advanced Agile certifications in at least two mainstreamAgile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, Scrum.org etc.
Other certifications in Lean, Systems Thinking, Design Thinking etc.isadvantageous, but demonstratable experience in the key concepts, practices and principles is acceptable.
5+ years’ experience inleadingAgile transformations including delivery areas of 100+people.
Software skills: Advanced ADO and ideally AHA (Jira also acceptable), Power BI, Miro (or equivalent), MS Office.
